Scottish Castle

Dating back to the 14th Century, Craigcrook Castle is to the west of Edinburgh and former home of writer and politician William Stirling, frequented by Charles Dickens, Hans Christian Anderson, George Elliot and Lord Tennyson, was in a desperate state of dilapidation.

Malcolm Duffin's restoration transformed Craigcrook Castle, recreating a beautiful Dining Room, Drawing Room, Bedrooms and Bathrooms as well as restoring the grounds, including a 17th Century garden remodeled by William Playfair.
